Exhibitions: Eduardo Navarro

Graham’s Fine Art Gallery presents ‘The Inaugural South African & Panamanian Cultural Exchange’ in October 2012 and will unveil the work of world renowned Panamanian artist Eduardo Navarro at the gallery in Broadacres, Johannesburg.

The event is one of many in an effort to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. “The Exhibition of Panamanian Artist Eduardo Navarro in South Africa intends to be the beginning of a long journey that will enable our two people to become much closer everyday, through the understanding of our cultural experiences.” - Rodrigo Chiari, Panamanian Ambassador to South Africa.

Eduardo Navarro is well known for expressing the power and movement of the horse and employs the techniques of ‘hard-brushing’ and ‘dripping’ across canvases made from various tapestries and fabrics. His work is well exhibited across the Americas, Europe and Asia including The Latin-American Museum of Contemporary Art, The Royal Houses Museum, The Sai Takamadoís Princess Private Collection, UNICEF’s Permanent Private Collection, and many more.

The exhibition will be opened on Thursaday 18 October 2012 @ 7pm at Graham’s Fine Art Gallery and will run until 16 December 2012. For more information, contact the galley on +27 (0) 11 465-9192 / 467-0649.
